Critiques
First off, the colors (and thus the light) is the first thing that catches my eye and an absolutely beautiful aspect of this photo. I love how it transcends from a bright yellow to a cool blue, and how these colors are reflected in the beetle's shell. The second thing that catches my eye is the gentle curving of the leaf and how it is framed in this photo, and even how it is mirrored by the surrounding leaves. Lastly there is the focus, and the detail on both the beetle and the leaf is stunning. I also like how they lightly fade in and out of focus. This image is all around well executed, and goes to show all the beautiful things we overlook. wonderful capture, beautiful (to me at least) beyond words.
