I agree...a 6.3+ aperture would've been better.
 too bad some parts in the front are out of focus, where it is the most important; still this is very good.
if you care about this depth of field thing, do you know there are some quite simple math. formulas that you can put in a programmable calculator that will give you the depht of field for whatever combination of focus distance, lens length and aperture, and final print size ?
you can find this info at public libraries. with this, the calculator will give you the near point\far point in a few seconds. it will solve all your depth of field problems. also, please read "HDR for wide depth of field" in my profile page; you might find it interesting.  Beautiful shot, and gorgeous colors. : )
